  10. Welcome to Active Media Eclipse, v.4.1 the ultimate screen saver creation and
  11. distribution toolkit from Active Media Technology Limited.  The original and
  12. best screen saver toolkit available has just got better, now featuring a myriad of
  13. new features including native 16bit colour support, and the much asked for ability
  14. to sequence transition modules together.  We have also added another 10 stunning new
  15. image processing transitions including a fabulous game transition called 'Invaders'
  16. which heralds the introduction of 'themed' expansion packs that will be released in the
  17. next few months.  For the those of you who want to keep tabs on who has got or purchased
  18. your screen savers we have added a professional screen saver registration mechanism;
  19. created screen savers can be password or protected by use of a key generator and then
  20. registered and licence code issued.  The registration details are stored in a database to
  21. provide easy manipulation.  We have more tightly integrated the Internet into created
  22. screen savers by allowing you to specify a key that will launch the default browser and
  23. hyperlink directly to your website directly from the running screen saver !

  25. We have listened very hard to what you have been saying to us and the incorporation
  26. of a lot of new features in this release is a direct result of user feedback.

  35. Active Media Eclipse v.4.1 is a cummulative release, incorporating all of the 
  36. enhancements and fixes to v.4.0.29 including the addition of MP3 audio support.
  37. There are a number of significant new features and not least, ten brand new
  38. transitions ( new to v.4.x ) bringing the total to 35 image processing transitions,
  39. each stunning and totally unique but now with the ability to comibine these transitions
  40. in any order to create truly magnificant screen savers.

  224. Active Media Eclipse Evaluation
  225. -------------------------------

  227. The evaluation copy of Active Media Eclipse is the fully functional software allowing you
  228. to try the powerful transitions and preview your screen savers as they would appear, use 
  229. the creation wizard etc.  Any screen saver that your create will be visually spoilt with
  230. the legend 'Active Media Eclipse Evaluation Screen Saver'  ( 'n' previews left ).  The created
  231. screen saver once installed will only allow itself to be previewed ten times before it will
  232. disable itself.  When this occurs you may simply re-install the screen saver again using the
  233. created installation routine or use the same routine to de-install it.

  235. The evaluation version of Active Media Eclipse does not allow you to specify your own
  236. organisation logo or legend for display on the installation pack and the screen saver 'about'
  237. button.  Please read the very extensive on-line help guide for further details or contact
  238. Active Media Technology.

  242. Registering Active Media Eclipse
  243. --------------------------------

  245. In order to create screen savers you must obtain a licence from Active Media Technology,
  246. this is a simple process and takes a few minutes requiring that the registration wizard is
  247. run, details completed and the information e.mailed or faxed to Active Media Technology.

  250. 1.    Run the registration wizard from within Active Media Eclipse.
  251.     Select Tools | Registration Wizard from the menu.
  252.  
  253. 2.    Complete the registration details.
  254.  
  255. 3.    Press the 'Finish' button to complete the registration process.

  257. 4.    Either:
  258.  
  259.     a.    Print the registration document and fax it to Active Media Technology
  260.     b.    e.mail the small text file that is produced as part of the registration
  261.         sequence.

  263. 5.    Apply the licence code that is issued by Active Media Technology.

  266. Please ensure that when you are registering Active Media Eclipse that you select the licence
  267. which is most appropriate to your requirements.  We advise you to read the notes on the
  268. differences between the available licences before registering.
